Another Mountain bike? What specs?

Hello again! Today I have an exiting announcement that I will talk about later in the post. But for now can we just admire the moss on that California oak! I mean look at it, is that not one of the best things California has to offer or what?!

Ok enough stalling. The news I wanted to share with you guys is very exiting to me! I’ve decided on which bike I want to buy, and when I want to buy it. If you saw the poll in my storie, you’ll have an idea of what bike I’m going for. The two I was debating between are the Trek Top Fuel 9.7. Costing $4k new, this bike comes equipped with all the bells and whistles you could ask for. 120mm up front, 115mm in the back, suspension lockout via Trek’s twistgrip, a dropper post, and a 1x12 drivetrain. I’ve thought for a good while now that this was the bike to go for. And the Scott contessa spark 920 ⚡️. My current bike is a Scott, and it has pretty similar specs to the trek. A dropper post, 1x12 drivetrain, twinlock suspension lockout, and 120mm in the front and rear. I also like the way it looks more than the trek. Costing $2.9k new, this is the right choice for me I believe. Both bikes are xc racing beasts, but can rip down the gnarly descents as well. When do I plan to order this beast? July 1st. My goal is to have enough money for it by then, and order it that day. Unless the local bike shops stock the bike and are cheaper. While I wait for it to arrive, and partly as I earn for it I’ll be buying the necessary tools to put the bike together. Unless I decide to have a bike shop do that for me. Either way I’ll need a little more cash. I’ll need to earn $18 a day. Think I’ll be able to find a way to make that much living in a fifth wheel on the move? Tell me down below, and why or why not.
