Chess And The Brain

Hi! Today I am writing my first blog post! It is about the connection between chess and the brain(for more info and scientific proof check out"being happy", by Andrew Mathews) To those of you who look at my rating and think"this guy has no idea what he is talking about!",Please leave now.
To those of you who are willing to learn something new,Welcome! I hope you enjoy my post!
Ok let's dive right in to this! I am going to use this game as an example of what I am going to talk about.https://www.chess.com/daily/game/186520020
How How did I do it? I won because I CHOSE TO!(and because it was daily and I took my time to play good moves obviously) Now that may sound a little crazy!...ok a lot crazy. But it is true. I did not think "I am not going to lose this game!" No! No no no no NO! I would probably have lost the game if I thought that! Instead I thought"I am going to win this!" I thought of the outcome I wanted. The reason you don't want to think"I am not going to lose this" is because your subconscious brain is now following a program that you just wrote that says "I must lose this game no matter what!" This is because You thought of the word LOSE. When you do this you are telling your brain that you need to LOSE. And your subconscious will do everything in its power to reach the goal you just gave it! The same can be said about thinking"I am going to win this game!" I even took it up a notch and repeated this several time aloud. I told my family I was going to win this game. And I won the game!
It is the same with superstitions. So think positive thoughts! When you do this, your brain will guide you there! You still need to work hard and play good! This just helps! And the same for feelings too! So, choose to be happy! Choose to win! And take your time! If you do this along with good moves than you have a pretty good chance at winning most of your games!

Thanks for reading this!
