Some Chess Tips
Tips:
1. Lichess.org has a lot of great things, such as master games. Hover over watch and then click on lichess TV. 2. Instead of just watching, which is important, being the player is equally important. Play games! I think that the tournaments on chess.com ore more fun than the normal games because you have the chance to get a medal! Even if you are playing with no chance to win, hey, I once came sixth in 2000+! They only give you people your rating, so you only play people your skill level. What happened was very rare, but at least we aren't playing for nothing. The tournaments can take a long time, so try to do the ones that are already nearly done. 3. It is so fun to play your friends-- or teach them! Remember, when you teach, you learn something again and you get better. If they do not understand, try again about half a year later. I have got this information from teaching someone (parent requested to keep him anonymous). I told him again and again without success. About half a year later, he learned it do easily. He did use chesskid and chess.com. Still it seemed like magic! (Maybe it was because he was four) 4. Puzzle rushes are fun and help with your puzzles! The thing about puzzle rushes is that they give you a limited time to do unlimited puzzles! Puzzle rushes are like normal puzzles, but if you get three wrong, the game ends. You can do a survival, which means you have unlimited time which is good for starting or if you just want the puzzles. 5. Openings are really good for trying new things! I like to experiment with a few different openings, such as the French Defense and the Queen's gambit. Some openings can be dangerous and I do not suggest them. if they fall for your trap, they lose immediately, but if they set up a trap for you, failing to detect it would have you in big trouble. Here is the link, if you wish. 6. Drills. Drills. Drills. This new feature on chess.com is very good for getting better at chess. Pattern recognition is very important for recognizing a tactic and when to use it. When you use a new trick, it is super rewarding. You should do this all the time. 7. This one isn't about resources, it is about strategy. Take your time. The grand masters do this in about every game they play (except maybe Hikaru Nakamura, who plays a ton of blitz and bullet). Take your time. Take your time. It is important.
