A tactical twist
"Move first, think later" is the title of an interesting book by IM Willy Hendriks.
For me as an impulsive player, such a title is a warm welcome
Just finished a game with tactics, which I want to share annotations with. I find it interesting to see that "having the feeling that a calculated line gives some advantage" is good enough to play some spectacular tactics.
It happens surprisingly often that when a tactics is started and played, suddenly a new candidate line, with more tactics, appears after a few moves have been played.
In this game, just played, the tactics was even more exciting to calculate and play, because there was a backrank checkmate loss possible if I made some calculation mistakes :
