Competitive Stars League | Round 3 | Report!
Hello! Before we start, I'd like to thank all of my supporters who were positive with me along the way! Writing reports is a lot of fun, and so I guarantee that I will be writing more! Thank you so much for those who gave great feedback on my previous reports, and to those who supported me! Now without further ado, lets see what sacrifices, tactics, beautiful games, and upsets this week has brought to us!
Team Libra depressingly draws the Chess Family
14-14
Argh... this was a pretty sad draw for Team Libra. But... a draw isn't a loss right? Well, the reason that this was a sad draw, was because Libra was clutch, and ahead by 4 points, and the only game left was our b7's (@cdzim). He needed to get 4-0'd in order for Chess Family to escape with a draw, and long story short... he did. But I don't blame him, cd was playing a very strong opponent for him (@Wintermint34), and so he had lots of trouble in keeping up. Team Libra got clutch on boards 1 (2.5-1.5), 3 (3.5-0.5), and 6 (3.5-0.5). Sadly, we lost on board's 5 (3-1), 4 (2.5-1.5), and 7 (4-0). We ended up drawing on board 2 as well. Lets take a look at one of our b2's wins!

Not pog for the Masters. Sadly, taking up a loss against the second family, they will not go away happy this round. Although they can always regain their title with some sweet revenge! The Family took up dubs on boards 1 (2.5-1.5), 3 (2.5-1.5), and 4 (4-0). Sad for them, they also took losses on board 2 (4-0 forfeit), and 7 (3-1). Board 6 also drew 2-2 by forfeit. Board 5 was a little bit “weird,” or whatever you call it. Strangely, chess family’s b5 won 1-0? I’m guessing that the masters’ b5 didn’t negotiate well or something, feel free to comment below on what happened! Let's take a look at one of the family’s b3 wins!

Team Dimension wins again! The dimensions obviously aren’t an easy team to face, and they demonstrate it, with a huge win against the Blundering Mates. The Dimensions went away with wins on boards 1 (4-0), 2 (3-1), 5 (3.5-0.5), and 7 (3-1). They also took a draw 4 and 6 (forfeit). On board 3, the players drew, however in some parts of the match, chess.com wasn't cooperating, so they had to play on another site. Let's take a look at one of their b2’s wins!

What is happening to the Destroyers? Coming away with a loss against the dragons, the Dream Team came out sad. The dragons took dubs on boards 2 (3-1), 6 (2.5-1.5), and 7 (4-0). They barely lost on board 3 (3-1), and 4 (2.5-1.5). They also took the draw on board 1 (2-2), and 5 (forfeit). Let’s dive into one of their b3’s wins!

I have one thing to say… this is not looking good at ALL for the Dinos. They have a really good lineup, but the Soaring Seagulls were just a tad better. The seagulls took dubs on boards 2 (2.5-1.5), 3 (3.5-0.5), 6 (4-0 forfeit), and 7 (3-1). They lost on board 1 (4-0 forfeit), and 5 (2.5-1.5). Board 4 drew 2-2 forfeit. Let’s take a look at one of their b7’s wins!

The CSL Cruisers win once again, this time, over Username Star! Not much to say here, the cruisers take more dubs on boards 3 (4-0 forfeit), 5 (3-1), and 6 (3-1). They lost on board 1 (3-1), and drew on board 2, 4, and 7. Let's take a look at one of their b2’s wins!

“Weirdness” doesn’t have to do with anything in this match, the reason I pointed that out was because first off, the match was flooded with forfeits, and the scoreboard looked strange. That aside, the Rickrolls took those wins on board 1 (4-0 forfeit), 2 (4-0 forfeit), 3 (4-0), 4 (3-1), and 7 (4-0 forfeit). They lost on boards 5 (3-1), and 6 (4-0 forfeit). Strangely, there were no draws left in this round, and the rolls’ came home happy. Let's take a look at one of their b3’s wins!

Brawlers, I’m just sayin’, you need to fix that problem of yours. The brawlers were probably an incomplete team or something, because literally half of their team is bye’s. The Phoenix gladly took their win on board 2 (4-0 forfeit), and literally every single other match was 2-2 forfeit draw. Like, WHAT?! Sadly, because of this, I can’t show you a game from this match, cause there weren’t any! Welp, I guess we’re moving on.
Lastly... Game Of The Week is presented!
Finally… the game of the week! What do I have in mind to show you this time? Well, this was a game between a Candidate Master (@SmallTurtleDuck), and @ChessLebaneseSalah. The Turtle Duck won 4-0 in this match, and played a pretty good game in one of the rounds, so let's dive into the analyzed game between the two very strong players, shall we?
Aye, it’s kinda sad to see this week go, with many upsets, victories, wins, losses, this was definitely an amazing week! Thanks for reading this week’s report! I really appreciate it! Anyways, feel free to view the week 3 leaderboard below!
Team Libra is still at the Top!
