I am playing in the First Saturday Grandmaster tournament in Budapest, Hungary.

Yesterday I played with Grandmaster Zlatko Ilincic from Serbia.

I used the Slav defense and he decided to play a slow development to gain space in the queenside.

I opened and won space in the center and my pieces were focused on his king.

In 2 moments I could sacrifice a pieces for great compensation and probably winning material in the long run, but I could not calculate and played the safe option.

The position became blocked and decided to keep the tension:
