It was the 2nd Wednesday of the month of June 2017 at the Illowa Chess Club where we play weekly 1 match of 95 minutes 5 sec delay. This time we knew the pairings earlier because the first week was over so the TD had paired us and emailed the parings last week.

I was going to to be playing Don Bruemmer, a pretty solid player if you asked me. My recent record against him was pretty nice and I had played him 6-8 times. The only thing I worried about was that against white he played the French and I had nothing solid against it because I had given up the Advance Variation long ago and just recently gave up or at least stopped playing the Exchange. So I started learning the Tarrasch but I couldn't learn it in only a few hours so I knew that I may have to play a little bit out of the book.

The struggle for the 1st place had also began and 3 or 4 people had a chance to go to first or second punching through the champs like :

this. Ok so well anyway here is my game :

Well I hope you enjoyed looking at the game and my first tries at these things called blogs, and I will post more games soon.
