Miniature from 2017 Pittsburgh Open
Oddly enough, all four of my <=20-move wins have come in the penultimate rounds of tournaments. Today, I tried a piece sacrifice in the Closed Sicilian that I knew was good but didn't know exactly why. I just thought it looked like I could figure it out OTB.
This left me needing to win my last game to make National Master. Unfortunately, I missed a win at the very end of my game against a FIDE master and let him escape with a perpetual, so I fell a few points short. Still a good tournament though!
