Today's Daily Puzzle 7/24/20: Pawns Break Pins

Happy Friday everyone! Today's puzzle seems to have a juicy fork that you can dive right into with Ne4, but not quite! I noticed quite a few questions in the comment section on why you can't play Ne4 right away. Unfortunately your knight is pinned by your opponent's queen.

But it doesn't have to be this way. In fact, if you found that Ne4 looks desirable, great job! That's the first step to solving this puzzle. Now instead of throwing your hands in the air, it's time to ask, can I break the pin and renew the threat to fork? Calculate all variations and you'll see this is exactly what needs to be done!

As I've mentioned previously, don't give up after you see that your immediate threat doesn't work. Carefully calculate through and you may find that each variation leads to success. How did you do today? Did you find the pawn push? Comment below!
