Hyper Accelerated Dragon: A Post Mortem
Hello my chess fans! (as if I have-haha!)
I have been away for a while and I'm not that surprised to see my rating here at chess.com plummet. I have games lost to time-outs.
Today I will share with you what I have learned from one of my 5 blitz game over the internet. I used to play the real Sicilian Dragon before but recently have been studying and trying out the Hyper Accelerated Dragon. I think I am already converted to the new opening as I have had recent disappointments with the real Dragon move order because of White's Yugoslav Attack with early 0-0-0 followed by the prophylaxis Kb1.
With my new chosen pet opening the Hyper Accelerated Dragon I realized that in order to exploit its full potential it is a good idea to have a good experience playing the real Dragon positions.
Below is my recent 5 min blitz game which I annotated, and I have attempted to give you new learning's about the opening along the way. Please note that I am a very lazy chess player and didn't even consult a chess software for analysis. At any rate, I still believe my own analysis will still give you valuable learning's.
So let us begin...
If you liked my annotation please bookmark my blog here so you will be posted of new entries or learning's.
Now for this blog entry, I am suggesting two chess books:
