Greetings,

We are a week away from the FM Joe Friedman Simul at the Colorado Springs Chess Club (5/31, FREE, starts at 7pm)!  Randy Reynolds has donated a $25 gift card as one of the prizes for anyone who can beat the Master.  Also, Doug Clark has donated a wooden chess board as another prize for any other winner.  I want to thank them for their support of this event.

Mark McGough is taking over the Quick world with his lightning fast moves at the Denny's Quick Friday, gaining close to 200 rating points!

This week's position comes from the Tuesday event where Mark McGough refuses to take his place at my whipping post.  It is white to move.
