Peter Gabriel remains one of my all time favorites. This is largly because, when I was introduced to MTV (back in my grade school days and before all this chess stuff started), the Sledgehammer video had just been released. That video still ranks as my favorite and I liked the album 'So' enough that I started tracking back some of his earlier albums which lead me to Genisis (also a major player in '86 and more on that later) and from there I just started branching out to other 70s and 60s bands. He was, essentially, my introduction to what later became Classic Rock as well as Prog/Art Rock. Given the popularity of the genre within my own generation, my experience was certainly not unique.
As good as my last tournament was, this one ended up being even better. I extended my unbeaten streak to 6 and gained 51 rating points. Overall, my 2nd highest single tournament rating jump!
