Chess960: A notion that the "Queen's Gambit" is good no matter where the pieces begin

I get the impression that the "Queen's Gambit" is always good in chess960. Six hundred years of practice at position #518 shows that Black can't afford the time to keep the stolen pawn, so the Queen's Gambit is not really speculative, but entirely sound.

At the other 959 starting positions, it's not certain that White can regain the pawn, so acceptance of the gambit appeals to the true, greedy nature of chessplayers who want to grab the loot and hold on — in the meantime, White gains control of the center.
