Success In The Opening - Failure In The Endgame
A 45 minute game with a 45 second increment which I just finished on ICC. White misplayed the opening (although Sam Shankland did some video's for chess.com and said that he believes black is probably fine anyways) and I was able to get a temporary development advantage. I tried to transition into an endgame where I would be more active, as white was having difficulties activating his rooks, but all I was able to get was a passed pawn. The passed pawn endgame felt fairly typical, and so I am going to try to learn how to better pressurize my opponent in similar positions. In this case, the best I was able to get was a draw.
I hope you like the game :)
And off I go to study these endgames more :)
