A Knight goes East!

"Improve your own pieces, restrict those of your opponent!" is the main rule according piece play in chess.

Please look at the following position:


Well, this does look almost equal you may think. But a closer look shows that Black has two weaknesses (f7+c6) and his pieces are not really well coordinated.

In contrary white has one little weakness (c2) and his pieces are active except the knight on c3. So white plan was now to improve that knight and restrict the black pieces at the same time. The result of his efforts you can see in the next diagram:


I don`t think that I have to comment this with many words. The result is obvious. In only 7 moves the knight has moved to king side and the black pieces are worse positioned than at the beginning.Four moves later Black resigned!
