Any tips on starting a chess club?

The branch of the university i go to has no chess club, so i decided to bring it up and i got a "Please do". Any tips on starting a chess club? Im by no means good enough to be a propper chess coach, but i was told if we get enough people interested they would hire one later on. So in the mean time i have to teach the people interested chess from scratch. Any tips on starting such a program?? any DOs and DONTs?
