Simple Chess: Outposts
Chess game featured is Tal v Bronstein, 26th Soviet championship, Tiflis, 1959.
Normally Mikhail Tal is associated with outstanding combination chess but here he demonstrates the latent power of an outpost in the centre of the board which tied blacks pieces down and restricts their possibilities. Game was taken from Micheal Steans book, Simple chess and was played in the 26th Soviet Championship, Tiflis 1959.
