Kramnik, Titled Tuesday and more !

@VladimirKramnik (https://www.chess.com/member/vladimirkramnik) is on a crusade to detect cheaters online.

When he plays Titled Tuesday, he streams the event under " cheating tuesday" banner.

While cheating online is an issue, I don't  agree with the former world champion about the accusations he made against @Jospem.

Kramnik lost very recently to @Jospem in the last TT game

Here's the full game

Now Kramnik said after the game he won't play @jospem again online ( he's 0-6 against him).

He pointed out to Accuracy in Game Analysis as his opponent with White scored 95.7 and dominated the entire game.

My take ? I think @Jospem played clean. Titled Tuesday is a high profile event and @DanielRensch has a full team dedicated to do surveillance , this is why there are 2 breaks during the event for extra-scrutiny.

Going back to most recent TT and the game Jospem-Kramnik, I sincerely believe @jospem played fair.

lets see who Jospem is, here's the photo

Here are the stats and titled (GM)

We are talking about a 25 year old GM with over the board blitz at 2703 ! and classical at 2603.

We can see Jospem is a strong player in classical, but he does even better in faster time controls.

his full name is

Jose Eduardo Martinez Alcantara

Now we are not talking about newly created anonymous accounts. I very frequently used to play against these new accounts which after 10 or 30 days have 2600 or higher rating online. This is nearly impossible to gain this level so quickly so unless these are "alts" accounts, these are most likely cheaters and they play suspiciously.

I think @VladimirKramnik is casting doubts on Jospem and this is wrong in my opinion.

I played @jospem in bullet and he is so dominant

He was close to score 10-0 against me ( not an adoption as we played at various times)  and he mouse-slipped in one game, losing its queen. and he offered a draw.

questions for the readers ? I thought it was fair to take the draw due to mouseslip. with more than 30 seconds remaining, if I wanted to, I am sure I would have won if I continued. so here I thought sportsmanship was called for.

Would you do the same thing ?

please note this was a Bullet Brawl game, so the result matters for final standings for Jospem who was fighting for prize money.

anyway, the other thing I want to cover is that Jospem has played 24,000 blitz games online.

versus Kramnik 1,612. and of course Jospem plays tons of bullet.

Kramnik has an amazing track record and understanding of chess as a former world champion and elite player.

But jospem is much younger and specialized in online chess. also, jospem used a pet system of his in the game

the cheeky 4h3!? would punish the pawn grabbers playing 4..Ne4?? as 5 Qa4+ wins the knight on e4.

the most common answer to that system is g7-g6 by Black followed by  Bg7. Jospem has many games in that line

even after move 11th, Jospem has extensive practice so he feels at home.

Meanwhile, Kramnik, while older and slower than Jospem, was also taken into less known territory in the opening. He played an early e7-e5 and lets look at opening stats after move 11

Jospem has experience in this line as well !!

after 11 Nbd2, White has no weakness. Having looked and played against Jospem, I know that he has in mind g2-g4 in these types of positions. He's super-experienced in blitz and has postponed castling for a reason !

now lets' analyze the game

as you can see, a smooth effort by White in a pet system, and Kramnik never equalized.

Would you agree with me ?
