Short time for coming back
Hi, haven't you forgot me? I was off from chess.com community for 1 month in order to concentrate for my learning process. I had been in candidate mathematics team of district, but unfortunately I was eliminated then. Now I am participating in IT team right now, but it's official, not candidate. That means I won't be able to be eliminated any more.
I will stay active on chess.com at most 1 month, before I will have to really concentrate in my upcoming competition. I will tell you what I had done in my "holiday":
By coincident, after I started not being active, I had to hospitalized by allergic rhinitis and bronchitis (lol I also got out of math team at that time) and stayed for 5 days, but now I have to take medicine, such a mess.
(Bruh I have been talking out of topic to you)
I want to return chess.com community to share you that, I have won the district chess competition for grades 8-9 (ages 13-14). First I felt scared because my streak of losses on Chess.com & Lichess.org, but I regained my confidence soon.
The competition was made as a swiss tournament, with point-based pairing matches. I won 5/5 matches.
My games weren't anything noticeable, except for match 4 (I called it semi-final). Uhh, I dunno what happened there because there weren't matches' notes. However, in the time between match 4 & 5, there was a man in the organizing committee came in and gave the puzzle
I was the only one, in every rooms, who can solve that!
My little brother also took part in the competition for grades 1-2-3 (ages 6-7-8) and got 4W - 1L.
Now I still wondered how did organizing committee could made a rule that:
- Players had 30 mins for a game, but not calculate time for each.
- After 30 mins, if the game didn't end, then they would count the material points. Who had more, he won.
Because of the rule, 1 player had been poorly considered lost
But anyway, I had wonderful time which highest prize!
That is why I return chess.com, at least we will have 15 days to spend time together!
