Chess Hand Embroidery & Weaving
1. Sometimes I’m playing a game of chess looking at a shirt that my Grandmother embroidered for me.
2. Embroidery is the art or process of forming decorative designs with hand or machine needlework. Embroidery involves decorating fabric with thread or yarn to create intricate designs, while sewing is the process of joining fabrics together using stitches. There are many types of embroidery. The three most common and popular types are crewel embroidery, cross-stitch embroidery, and surface embroidery.

3. I remember my grandmother could make her own fabric by weaving. She later preferred going to the fabric stores to get fabric to make clothes.
4. Weaving is a method of textile production in which two distinct sets of yarns or threads are interlaced at right angles to form a fabric or cloth. Other methods are knitting, crocheting, felting, and braiding or plaiting.
