
Chess History: The Knights Oath
The knights oath was an oath that was sweared at King Arthur's Round Table. It embodied the code of chivalry. The basic oath consisted of these points:
1. Be without fear in the face of your enemies.
2. Be brave and upright that God may love thee.
3. Speak the truth always even if it leads to your death.
4. Safegaurd the helpless and do no wrong.
