Chess Room for Rent

Sometimes I’m playing a game of chess thinking how blessed it is when you own your own property. Landlords can make some outrageous demands such as:

1. Seeking a mellow, mature, easygoing, financially stable, environmentally conscience, considerate, clean and neat single roommate.

2. Vegetarian Preferred.

3. Long term is preferred but shorter term may be okay for the right person.

4. If for any reason you (or we) are not happy a simple 30 day moving notice both ways.

5. An equal, refundable cleaning, damage, security deposit and the first months rent is required to move in.

6. Cash is preferred, it's much easier. Checks must include additional taxes and fees.

7. The deposit can not be used as the last months rent.
Rent is due on or before the first of every month.  
A late fee will apply.

8. Please be clean and neat.
Clean up after yourself in the
living room, patio, kitchen and other common areas.
Don't leave it for someone else to pick up after you.
We do have a housekeeper once a month for deeper cleaning.
The cost is approximately $25. each monthly and is divided equally between all roommates.
Obviously the cleaner the house is, the less the housekeeping costs are.

9. Due to the coronavirus and general safety precautions visitors and guests are strongly discouraged. Only fully coronavirus vaccinated applicants will be considered.
Proof of Coronavirus vaccination is required.

10. Available only to applicants that are on island now.
An in person interview is required.
