Three Important CHESS NOTATIONS to know
There are 3 important chess notations all chess players should know about.
1. Algebraic: Covered in great detail in lessons on chess.com. Since 1981, the World Chess Federation (FIDE) recognized in their highest rated tournaments.
2. Descriptive: Used in literature extensively since 1847 Howard Stauntons Chess Players Handbook divides the chess board into a kings and queens side to describe where the pieces are moving.
3. International Corrospondence: Numeric system where each square is given a number and the notion includes the square moved from and to.
