Totally impressed
some of you may or may not know, but I teach languages to people all around theworld. Some are online, some are face to face. Today, I taught a French kid in Singapore. I decided to try to sneak chess into the lesson. We were talking about prepositions of space. What better way to talk about positions than by using a chessboard? Surprisingly, this kid knew how to work around a board. He's 10. At the end of the lesson, he says, "Veggie, I wanna show you something". Kid had made his own chess set out of mosaics and wood and interesting pieces. It looked really awesome and worth hundreds of dollars. I was totally impressed.
