Great! Suits me well - much same situation here.Seems like you are not open to receive challenges - could you challenge me to two 5 or 7-day 960 games (one with each color)? 🙂
See my note below. We haven't been very active since no one has challenged us as a group to Vote Chess or to a match. We have become more of a list of people open to playing Centaur games.
I'm uncertain. A master craftsman will do better work than an apprentice when they both have the same tool, no matter the quality of the tool. My question is whether the difference between the two humans is shrinking over time. The number of draws in centaur matches is higher than it is in most matches between humans suggesting the engines shrink the differences between humans. Another way to look at it is to ask how much you could improve the play of an engine rated 4000.
Just because a machine can learn doesn't mean we are any less relevant, we are likely to become more so once we can connect our brains directly to a computer, increasing bandwidth and allowing better freedom to make more meaningful decisions
Agree with Phoenyx75. Advanced chess games are among the highest level games ever played. The new neural network engines, however, are showing us moves that humans would not normally consider so the value added by the human might be shrinking.
You are most welcome. We have not been that active in the last year or two since non-computer users don't like to challenge us but you can play unrated matches against other club members.
