I tried all that I found suggested in webblogs, password, phoenix, 12345 and some more, I maybe resetis the solution, but I am affraid bc my history of computers will be fun for all...butwill tell: first time learned in CP200/TK85 basic...a little of assembly in 80' s years!
Hello friends, pls anybody knows how to find a biosPhoenixpassword, I never used this passw and when I used gparted to do a fresh install of ubuntu12.10 /w7 I could access bios...obs.: I'm not pro...XD but (and like, even still use some things from "ruimdows" i.e. a little joke in Brazil, means "badOS) linux about 7 years yet
My dad is a retired auto technician. He always lamented that so many people depend on their cars, but so few know how they work. I feel the same way about computers (although I'm not a professional). Even if people stick with Windoze, they should know why it's there and what it is....and that it's replacable!
@Stephenson2 You really don't know what you are on about. I never said they STOLE I said Microsoft contributed. And, its a fact. see the kernel repos: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git;a=blob;f=drivers/hv/hv.c;h=3648f8f0f36886282da6abf3bb2df05a355d3001;hb=HEAD
The reality is that MS has the clout to establish specifications which hardware and software vendors adhere to. Android has been able to do that for mobile devices and will be the future.
That is why they all use MSWindows, they think it's default. I dont want to think fine I'll use it. Although a lot of people are using Tablets now for there PC use. WHY? As all they do is Facebook, chat around on Skype and buy things on the internet.
BSD has a way better chance of survival. As it's chaos (linux kernel code) vs order (bsd kernel code). But the true future lays within 'simple OS-es' think iOS or Android. The OS-s that don't let you navigate menus etc just buttons happy icons and moving flashy backgrounds. People who use lInux (like me, and most of you I bet) are not normal. We just want a OS to work OUR way. Normal people, well they dont want to think.. At all! That is why they use MSWindows as it's default and thus fine.
Well you are not being really fair. MS Windows is designed by Tech people just like the Linux people. As a matter of fact some microsoft engineers have worked a whole lot on Linux. Check the kernel repo and you'll see that a lot of code that has been posted in some areas are by Microsoft Engineers. HOWEVER, the Microsoft Sales and Marketing department is really really evil. They decide to drop features for 'future improvements'. And as a Linux fan, I am sad to say that I doubt Linux is the futur
Yes it is the future. The next computer I buy will come with a blank hard drive, so I can install Lynux. Microsoft windows is nothing more than a money pit.
