Hi, Try to find the best move here! Post the solution if you kno This happened in a real game!
Hey guys! Wanna do a chess talk?? here is how it works! Chess talks is where you have a side you resemble (Knight or Bishops) Every team has three members and argues ( NO TRASH TALK OR CUSSING OR ELSE YOU ARE DISQUALIFIED) And after that every player that is NOT in the vote gets to pick who had a better argument! Who is in? remember only three teams each! So quick! also tell me what side you want (Knights or bishops)

Novelty in openings is important. If you play one opening over and over again you could possibly get bored with the game at the opening and not think throughout the rest of the game. Just look at this match here as an example: Now look at this other game: I played the King's Gambit, a rather uncommon opening and ended up winning with my knight and rooks. So if you get the opportunity, learn new openings from Chess.com or another website. A real person would be best, but often that is not feasible. Openings like the King's Gambit for White, Sicilian and Scandinavian Defenses for Black are examples of new and different openings that can keep your chess games interesting.

My mom kicked me off for 7 days. So I was offline for a while. But I've decided to leave this club and live as a wandering nomad. (Okay maybe not that but you get the point.) Goodbye fellow earthlings!

The former world champion Garry Kasparov will be among the competitors in an online Nations Cup, a new chess competition featuring six teams of four players, Fide, the world chess federation, announced on Tuesday. Some big names from recent decades will take part asRussia, the United States, Europe, China, India and a Rest of the World team compete amid the coronavirus crisis with a prize fund of $180,000 (£146,000). Former world champions Kasparov, Vladimir Kramnik and Viswanathan Anand as well as the 16-year-old Iranian Alireza Firouzja will be among the competitors with Fide to confirm the team lineups on Wednesday. The event will take place online and each team must include at least one female player. In order to guarantee fair play, the players will be observed by Fide-affiliated international referees via a video conference call. To ensure that the participants do not receive any kind of external help, their webcam, computer screen and the room in which they are playing will be supervised. Fide’s president, Arkady Dvorkovich, said: “The reasons why an official tournament like this has to be conducted online are very unfortunate – but we are happy to see that chess is providing solace to millions of people who are under a home lockdown.” The first stage, a double round-robin will take place on 5-9 May, with a rapid-play format where each player starts the game with 25 minutes on the clock plus 10 seconds of extra time added after each move. The top two teams will meet in a Superfinal on 10 May, with Fide estimating an audience of several million worldwide. Chess tournaments have been disrupted amid the coronavirus outbreak. The Candidates tournament, one of Fide’s flagship events, had to be halted midway through, while the Chess Olympiad had to be postponed to 2021. The 132-player knock-out event with the total prize fund of $50,000 stretched from the beginning of autumn. The final on April 15 saw Magnus Carlsen and the crowd favorite 16-year-old Alireza Firouzja clash in a 16-game (3 minutes, no increment) blitz battle for $14,000 first prize. On the way to the ultimate showdown, Carlsen defeated GM Sanan Sjugirov in the semis and GM Nils Grandelius in the quarters. Firouzja eliminated GM SL Narayanan (SF) and GM Georg Meier (QF). Due to a lack of over-the-board events, this match was a real treat to spectators and lived up to the highest expectations. Firouzja grabbed the lead after winning the first game with Black but Carlsen bounced back in game 3 and kept coming back after each win of the youngster. The opponents kept this pace for 11 games and the score was still even. In game 12, Carlsen took the lead for the first time, but Firouzja leveled the score right away. They exchanged the blows in games 14 and 15 again to find themselves on an even score before the last game. Game 16 went perfectly for Firouzja as he outplayed the world champion in his own element - the endgame. After it was over, Carlsen complained about being in a bad shape but gave credit to his opponent: "He's amazingly strong. Full credit!" In just a couple of days, Carlsen and Firouzja will meet over the virtual board again - the strongest online event of this spring, "Magnus Carlsen Invitational" starts on April 18. Magnus Carlsen needed Armageddon to break the tie against Blitz King Hikaru Nakamura in The Magnus Carlsen Invitational online chess yesterday. It became a tense affair for the world champion after the allotted four-game rapid match ended 2-2 after a bit of controversy.Nakamura complained he had been disturbed during play. The American, however, did not launch an appeal as Carlsen won the tie-break to kick start his campaign in the eponymous tournament on a winning note.Nakamura later tweeted: “Fun match, very unsatisfactory ending with the arbiter writing a message to me in the middle of the game to abort while I am thinking about playing Kf1 or Kh1! Not that it changes the outcome, but still…” Carlsen and Nakamura had traded blows in the first two regulation rapid games but the Norwegian’s impressive win in Game Three was a body-blow to his opponent. Going into the final game 2-1 up the champion was the hot favourite. But he became visibly frustrated as it descended into a blunder-fest that left him in an impossible position.Following Carlsen’s resignation to leave the match all square, commentator Alexander Grischuk said: “I was just shocked by the game, it was terrible.” The match then went to the “Armageddon” play-off.As per the rules of the tournament, touted as the biggest prize money online tournament, in case of a 2-2 tie, an Armageddon game is played with five minutes for white and four minutes for black and black wins in case of a draw. In the other Round 1 match, 16-year-old Alireza Firouzja could find no way through “The Chinese Wall” Ding Liren going down 2.5-1.5. The pair’s first game was a draw but Ding outplayed Firouzja in games 2 and 3, although was unable to seal the third game. Going into the final game, the world number 3 needed just a draw which he duly secured. Round 1 will be completed later in the day (late Sunday night IST) when four national number ones face one other. Fabiano Caruana (US) plays Russia’s Ian Neopomniachtchi and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France) faces Anish Giri (Netherlands). source : Mumbai Mirror | Updated: Apr 19, 2020, 15:26 IST

I'm going to vote for @ukrainiandude since he is: 1) Very active; he is like almost always online 2) Lots of experience; he is like an admin/SA in like 100 clubs 3) Very good at team matches and vote chess; he makes a lot of those and tells the members using forums and the news 4) Very trustable and nice; I have personally worked with him in many clubs. He is very nice and probably one of the most trustable people I know on Chess.com. This is some of the reasons why I want him to be the next SA of this amazing club. Other people: 2nd: @FaZe_Ninja2 3rd: @Brudo_the_Chess_king Thank you for reading this and have a great day!
