This is my last game that I played in the Albuquerque Scholastic Chess League. This last round was against Academy for first place. I won my game against Thomas, Academy's first board, but unfortunately everyone else on our team lost. My score for this year was 5.5 out of 6, I had one draw.

This game was against the first board of academy's second team. This was the first round of the year. All six Aims teams won.
This was the game that i played against Willow at the Soccoro Quads. I won 2 games and lost 1. It was a 3 way tie for first in my Quad.
These are all my games that I played at the new mexico open on 9/26/15 and 9/27/15. I played in the under 1500 section. I won all my games, I was the only person in the tournament to get a perfect score. Kwon said that I had a good attack in the opening. I thought that i was going to loose after I played Bb1 and lost those two pawns on the queen side. I thought I going to lose but I didn't give up and then he ended up blundering and lost the game. The round after that Joe played against Jordan Zayas and Jordan won. The last game: I was actually surprised that I won all my games. This was the first time I won all my games in a tournament.

The meaning of 1.c5 is to start an early queen side attack and deny the pawn duo on e4 and d4. DRAGON White has 2 pieces developed, the open d file, and can castle in 2 moves. Black has one developed piece, the open c file and can castle in 2 moves. Once pieces are developed, black will play d5 to open up the center and start the queen side attack. ACCELERATED DRAGON Black is one tempo ahead of normal dragon, but the light squared bishop is traped in but will be set free after d5.The best response to this is 4.c4(Maroczy Bind), this cramps blacks position and slows down the attack. NAJDORF 5.a6 starts an early queenside pawn storm and controls white squares. This opening is good for aggressive and passive players. SCHEVENINGEN Blacks creates a hard to break pawn wall that attacks the center without being in it. This is the least aggressive of the sicilian variations. Sometimes the g8 Knight goes to e7 then to g6 to control the black squares in the center. PAULSEN Black controls the light squares on the queenside. The dark square bishop is better than the light square bishop. Qc7 is often played to control the open c file and the h2-b8 diagnal. TAIMANOV The Taimanov is very flexible and transpositional. This can transpose into the Paulsen or the Scheveningen. White has to be careful because his enter might overextend and collaspe followed by a queen side attack. PELIKAN Black has already commited to a center attack and now has a hole on d5 and with their knight on b3 acts as a queen side defender. Now black will attack the king side. PTERODACTYL Black has already started an early queen side attack by controling the a1-h8 diagnal and the c file. If 4.Nc3 Bxc3 5.b2xc3 Qxc3+ 6.B or N d2 Qxc5 and black is up a pawn. ANTI SICILIAN OPENINGS OPEN SICILIAN White trades a center pawn for a flank pawn for the open d file and a Knight in the center. CLOSED SICILIAN White has saved his d pawn instead of trading it. White will slowly expand his king side until he comes up with an attack. GRAND PRIX ATTACK White has started an early king side attack with the pawn duo of e4 and f4. This is often transposes from the french, 1.e4 e6 2.f4 c5 3.Nf3 Nc6 4.Nc3 ALAPIN White has both center pawns and shares the c file with black, Who ever gets control of c file first will most likely win the game. SMITH-MORRA GAMBIT White has traded a pawn for a tempo and 2 open files. In any type of gambit always develope your king side pieces first. If white dosent play aggressively he will most likely loose. This opening can easily transpose into an Alapin. Here is an opening trap against the dragon in the smith-morra. Try to solve from the first move.
