This opening gives slight advantage for white in start. Both colour's are ready to castle short. Therefore the game may be slow as both castle at same side. Both are promoting all their pieces and creating a defensive line for Black. It must manage or it may fall.

Well it is like a follow up move of Bogo-Indian and blacks the check. Black can try to trade, but Bishops play a more important role in later midgames and endgames. It is a tough position to maintain for both black and white.
Bogo-Indian Defense a classic modern opening. It is very common among intermediate and advanced players. It is a classical opening, and has been played by many GMs. It is aggressive and if black or white slips, opponent can bag it away.

This is the Alekhine Defense:Four Pawn Attack. This is a hyper modern variation for Black and gives it early advantage. Though, White is up a Pawn, White cannot castle. Moreover its major pieces are not promoted. In this position Black must castle Long(O-O-O) and activate the rooks.
Well, this is quite similar to Reti opening: Anglo Slav Variation, Bogoljubov Variation but more of an extended version. Some advanced players stick to this after Reti opening: Anglo Slav Variation, Bogoljubov Variation, and some do not.
SacrificesDaRook Jun 28, 2023
This i a Bogoljubov Variation in which white has a very balanced position. This is a type of opening which very complex players tend to play. It is an agressive opening.

Have you ever won games with Alekhine's Opening? If yes, here is a place to post the link to the analysis of the game.

The above one is for attacking players. For complex players: The main line is a bit different and becomes more of a attacking game for White and defensive for Black. Black must play very carefully and should castle before Black. The Knight of white is very strong so trading it for the Bishop is advisable. And the Fianchetto is very hard for low rated players to manage. This is not aggressive variation.
SacrificesDaRook Jun 28, 2023
This is for people under 1000 elo for higher: This is a trade accepted version of 4 Pawn Attack. But now it is more of a 3 Pawn Attack. In this variation Black must always Castle Short(O-O). The second one bases on Fianchetto, and low rated players can play it, but they must learn to manage the position in Middlegame. In this variation Black should not play Passiviley, but Actively.

In the 1920's, 1.d4 Nf6 was considered an irregular opening. Then Tartakower read an old German journal in which there was a game played in 1875 by two Brahmans which began 1.d4 Nf6. Thereafter he jokingly referred to this as the "Indian Defense". This is a group for players who are interested in learning and playing the White and Black sides of the hypermodern Indian defenses to 1.d4. Our group repetoire includes 9 distinct openings: Benko Gambit, Benoni Defense, Bogo-Indian Defense, Budapest Gambit, Grünfeld Defense, Indian Game, King's Indian Defense, Nimzo-Indian Defense, and Queen's Indian Defense. All our Team Matches, Tournaments, and Vote Chess games are based on these openings. We currently have a 300 membership maximum. Please apply if you: play any of these openings are interested in joining Team Matches or Tournaments or Vote Chess wish to contribute in some way to our group already belong to less than 50 groups. I recently invented new classification of openings through pawn structures http://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-openings/toward-coherent-mathematical-classification-of-openings The creator of Open Encyclopedia of Chess Openings http://finaltheoryofchess.game-server.cc/mediawiki/index.php/Main_Page Gary Danelishen invited me to realise this project there. I just started to work on it: http://oeco.dyndns-wiki.com/mediawiki/index.php/Pawn_Structure_Classification_Codes Igor

It looks like our group and the organizer have their footprints laminated already in the annals of chess history. Hey, what about us? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Efim_Bogoljubov too bad, some of the editors labeled it a spam so i'm creating a new wikipedia entry.
