I just had a game that i thought could be very usefull for the beginners out here, because it shows the importance of castling first, and the ideal case of how to punish a king in the center. In the game, my opponent decided to leave his king in the center of the board and to not deal with the opening of the center at all, ending up completely overloaded by my two central pawns. In the game i was black

I wrote this in 2 mins to some kid asking for help in general forums so figured I’d post it here rip all spelling errors 1. Solidifying my opening What this means is finding openings that I like to play and perfecting them. 0 mistakes blunders or inaccuracies by move 15 is prefered. 2. test out different time formats in rapid. If you’ve been doing 15|10 do 10 min and visa versa 3. Play higher rated players around 400-600 is prefered then make sure you either analyze it with them or analyze it yourself. This is probably the thing that helped me the most. 4. ask for tips/help on the forums or in clubs. Some really do help I can suggest a few good clubs if you want. 5. stop caring about rating. Listen I get it. I love to look at my rating stats after each game, when I play I want to get better but more importantly I want my rating to improve haha. But just take a break and play for fun, go for a week or even a day without worrying about rating. 6. ignore step 5. Go into Tryhard mode, this I’d mainly if step 5 doesn’t work. Play at the times you play best for me it was late nights. Also find which times others play worse trust me it helps lol. After each game analyze your games especially looking at the tactical mistakes. 7. Forget the hundreds of puzzles. Imma get a lot of hate for this one… but puzzles never helped me, what helped me more was playing games and analyzing them afterwards adn finding my own puzzles in those games. 8. Watch videos on YT or twitch. Émersion in chess helps a ton. (Watch me on twitch <:Happycat:862371558302154803> ) jk (but not really) but watching people like Gotham chess, Daniel Narodisky and others helped me. 9. Practice end games, I never did it and it definitely was the reason I lost a ton of games. 10. Play Play Play. Just play a ton of games and analyze get that muscle Brian memory going. Good luck <:HYPERS:862368809259499561>

after months and months of playing chess. I finally got to the milestone of 700 in blitz. This is such a huge milestone for me, and I'm so very proud of myself for getting this far in my chess career. I had a absolutely wonderful game that got me to the level of 700. as you can see, I played wonderfully and didn't blunder a single piece at all! That would've probably been around 99% accuracy. And because I was playing so well, my opponent un-plugged their internet and abandoned the game! here is another great game In this game, I played really well. And I was trying out this new gambit called botez gambit. In this game as well, I think I got a 99% accuracy, and because I was playing so fast, the opponent couldn't keep up and lost on time (: I'd like the thank everyone at beginner and masters for helping me get to this wonderful new milestone! (if you already didn't figure it out, this is a troll post)

Winning an Arena tournament all depends on luck (such as getting players who resign in a losing position). There is also the issue of stalling at the end of arenas. Arenas don't work well for tournaments with less than, say, 50 players. Players who joined a few seconds late will take forever to get a matchup. Also, winning streaks should not give you extra points. Why should a player whose first three games were WWL get more points than a player who went WLW? An arena should not determine the winners of a qualification tournament.

Anyone know a good repertoire against Reti and English?? My opponent plays these as sidelines so I need to do something.( I am covered against his main lines but against me he has played sidelines twice in the same tournament)

Believe me, i used to be one of them, but I soon realized how evil Tetra really is, after turning me to his side, he kidnapped my family and turned them into Floofs with the aim of using them in a coup against our beloved leader Dababy, in order to become the dictator of BM; please don't believe him, he is just trying to brainwash everyone and take away their personalities so that it will be easier for him to rule over all of us. Don't be a Floof, be yourself. And his mother told me that he hasn't called her in weeks, how bad. Also here is a picture of him throwing trash in the street.

I came to the conclusion that the only people who had a problem with my proposed 9PM EST time were people living in India. So I have an idea. We can increase the tour to 4 rounds. We will have a tournament tonight at 9PM EST, but tomorrow, we will have a qualification tournament sometime the the morning for the Indians. How does this sound?

Here I am featuring the games of the 3 people who qualified, @Little_Guinea_Pig, @Ninjaswat, our host @FMDiscus2003, and the person in forth who was oh so close @DubstepJunkie. Not adding commentary because dogs are illiterate and it would take way too long. Round 1 Round 2 Cricket had a good run, getting 6th. But unfortunately, beating Guinea wasn't enough to qualify. Round 3 KeSetoKaiba had a good run, getting 8th. But unfortunately, beating Discus wasn't enough to qualify. Round 4 Round 5 And the final showdown........ We had a nice tourney with a good turnout. Thank you all for joining!

Happy April Fools Day! April 1, 2025: “The ability to play chess is the sign of a gentlemen. The ability to play chess well is a sign of a wasted life.” -Paul Morphy, GM. (Do you think he stole this quote from his dad who shamed him into quitting chess?)
