So I played this match against someone 100 points rated higher than me and I got 96% accuracy! That's very good and I'm very proud of that but I'm a bit worried. It seems cheater potential and maybe he'll report me for suspicious activity even though I swear I didn't cheat. Here's the match. Mittens was a cat bot which was really like the best bot in Chess.com. Mittens Anish too, stronger, but less Mittensish. I think Mittens should come back with Mittens Anish too and make them permanent!

One of the moments that attracted me to chess was the culmination of the 2016 World Chess Championship, in which Magnus Carlsen calmly sacrificed his queen in the last game to finally dash Sergey Karjakin's hopes. Today I felt a deja vu when I too was compelled to offer up my queen to win a back-and-forth game. We all are mesmerized by the brilliance of our favorite sportsmen, but it is easiest to recreate that brilliance in chess. Let's make this thread a goldmine of tactical queen sacrifices!

Someone posted their worst game here yesterday and now I'm curious. What was a game you recently lost in the opening that got you thinking you should be rated 3 ELO max? Mine was this one. A masterclass on what NOT to do against the King's Gambit: Fs in chat

I played against this 1100-rated player who got an accuracy of 94.2%! Is this person cheating? Should I report them? Chess.com thought they were 1850, and I was 1500. Yes, I made a few mistakes but this guy didn't make a single one! Take a look at this match and let me know what you think [Link removed - public accusations aren't permitted - MG]

What a game, I've been looking back on the games I played recently to see what tactics I missed so that I can eventually make a blog using them, and I feel like a lot of that effort really helped me find some cool ideas here. (I have the black pieces)

I don't know if I'm allowed to advertise my own blogs, but if I am, here I go!Check out my blog called "Mastering The Giuoco Piano Easily", where as an experienced player of this opening, I teach you pretty much everything you need to master this opening and why you should play it instead of whatever weird opening you play.Once you've read it, you can let me know what you think in the comments. I'd love to hear your opinions and I hope you like it!

Whose Picture Will Get In The Center Of This Medal? You have probably been thinking about the question: "Who is the best chess player of all time?" You probably didn't got a response, because you will never see Morphy playing Carlsen, or a Tal - Nakamura matchup. Now, you have got the chance to take part of a community vote, to decide who is the best chess player of all time! Me and my friend, @AteivisM spent time to select the best 128 players of all time (In our opinion). These players will take part in a single elimination knockout bracket. We will have two matchups every day, one posted by me and one by @AteivisM, where you will have 24 hours to vote on the player you consider better. The first matches will start tomorrow, because we have a conquest for our Community players. We created the bracket on challonge.com, where you have 24 hours to predict who will win our bracket. You can find the bracket here: https://challonge.com/uubyyct. Who do you think will win? Predict the bracket and be the winner of the Prediction Conquest! May the best player win! See you tomorrow at the first Community Vote! Regards, David

Hi guys! I thought about it and got an idea: We could create an arena with a lot of clubs and then play against each other! The first 20 clubs then advance to the next arena and so on until the winning clubs play each other for first place! I would imagine that 20 clubs would advance first and then 10 clubs and so on (we'll discuss that together later happy.png ! For me it's a kind of league! We could do that every six months! I could do it with my club create it if you don't mind! If you like this idea, please thumbs up! Please try to recommend this idea if you like it! If a club wants to participate, please write it in! Thank you for reading! @David-Vass
IDK when 2 players have the same points, how can their tie break points be different?
