In recent tournament in Caro-Cann I faced player 300points above and as white I was able to survive Caro-Can defence although I dont have really much experience with it. In the second part of the game there is nice push of my pawns on queenside, so it seemed to me good to share.
Hi. Not really sure this is worthy of analysis - but won a game in rapidplay last night on time in our internal club tourney - I think if you ignore time I was losing throughout though! Would be interested in comments. Grades are ECF rapidplay grades. ECF grade conversion is something like FIDE = 700 + (7.5*ECF) btw. I think I more or less got the moves right, but I didn't notate it at the time, as it was rapidplay. As I say not quite the best way to win, thanks more to the 30 0 time control than any skill on my part.
Here's an ending I messed up recently. (Probably messed up plently of other parts of the game game too!) Well played Outpost if you're reading. Anyone got any thoughts about whether I could have held a draw from this position? I thought as long as I avoided exchanging Qs I was OK.
Hi! Do you know Michael Jordan? I think almost everyone knows him. He's a basketball legend. There were many taller ones, stronger ones, better shooters, better dribblers, better dunkers than him but it is HIM who is being named GOAT by basketball fans in the world. What is GOAT? The GREATEST OF ALL TIME! He was the best because, apart from excellent abilities, he desired the victory as nobody in the world. He was ready to sacrifice everything to achieve his goals. Ok, now I am going to ask you all who and why can be named the Chess GOAT? Which of World Champions? Or maybe someone different? I am very curious what's your opinion!

Hello Chess-lifers :) I am very curious what is your opinion. A couple weeks ago a GM from Georgia, Gaioz Nigalidze, was caught in using his phone (with a chess engine) in a toilet during a game against Tigran Petrosyan at Dubai Open. He was eventually banned for, I am not sure, one tournament probably. Is that enough?
I am not posting game I have intented earlier, but again another game, where I have failed in the endgame and I would be courious, what can have been done better. It is some kind of Sicilian, but my suggestion is to look from Move 34, when we exchanged queens. At that time it seemed to me that I stay worse due to strange pawn structure and less active figures. Somehow through I believe good exchanges I went to better position around move 47 and I hoped to get one of b-c pawns promoted. I did but opponent sacrificed his rook and I was not than able to stop his 3 pawns against one and rook on the other side of board.
