So, I'm playing in the Experienced vs New members vote game (on the exp. side) and I check the results today to find we voted in a blunder. The last I checked, a good move had the lead in percentage when suddenly, in the last few hours, the blunder got a rush of votes and won even though there were many posts telling how it was a losing move. Some of the guys did a little research and found that this particular move had about 100 more votes than the previous ones. They looked at some of the team members and found a bunch of 1200 rated players that had, this day, signed up with chess.com and joined the "experienced" team. We asked chess.com admin. to check into this and it was confirmed that 3 guys had created a bunch of fake accounts and sabotaged this particular game. It makes me think of the game that got chess team international started (against the dream team) and how we posted, posted, and posted how a certain move was ruinous but to no avail. How many vote games are legit and how many are tainted? I've noticed that there's a lot more open discussion of cheating than ever before. I quit the Minnesota team I was on because someone used an engine and brought up the move results +/-in a vote game. Besides cheating, this guy was an idiot for posting his analysis because after the game is over the other team gets to read all the posts! I don't remember if it was the exp. vs new members game or the knights vs bishop game but an actual IM said to check your engines for blunders, within the last month. There are many more examples I could give but you get the point. It's great that chess.com acted so quickly to find the boneheads that messed up the vote game but it just makes me a little sad that this kind of thing has to happen at all. OK enough of my rant, I feel better just getting it off my chest, thanks to anyone who reads this.
This puzzle is just beautiful. It is a study, but not unrealistic. You just need to look ahead a bit and think about the consequences of each move. It's difficulty level is well within the range of a medium strength player.

Hello Everyone-- Sorry if you've already seen this, but this is worth posting just in case. There's a new feature on the "My Home" drop menu on your chess.com home page called My Vote Chess. It displays all vote chess games you are playing, initially sorted by amount of time remaining before the next move is made, and with the games where it is your move displayed ahead of games where it is your opponent's move. There are other sort options, too. It appears that games which are still waiting for the first move to be entered are put right at the top, even if there are other started games with less time left. This should make it much easier for people who play multiple vote chess games to keep track of when moves are due, and perhaps increase vote participation and avoid time-outs, yo!

To all the players in the Master votechess CTI,What the hell going on !? currently we have just lost two games so far. Can we put ourselves together and make this work on the others four games ? Not one person or persons is to be blame for this because this is a team effort. I know Spiffe is doing a fantastic job giving us alot of info also with yoff helps and a good support from the thegab. Hoping diomed1 come back soon. We really need to pull this together and make this work, don't you ? Any suggestion for any ideas how we can make this better ? Kelvin
As you know, the creator of this group, darius who has quietly left this group without telling us. It has been for quite awhile now but the good news is I have managed to get hold of him (actually he contacted me) , he is good and well, he apologised he didn't mean to cause a stir in the group. The reason he left was he find the whole thing too stressful, work, family, wife, chess etc. So is was better for him to leave and focus on his top priority which is his family and work. Someday he might come back, you never know, hopefully. Your Regard Kelvin.
Hey there folks, just joined the group and wanted to take a quick second to say how pleased I am to find a group that's dedicated to playing as a Vote Chess team! I had started a thread on the forums a couple of weeks ago asking for just such a thing, and lo and behold, kco pointed me in the right direction. I checked out your archives, and it's perfect from what I can see -- people really working together, playing varied openings, good camaraderie. Saves me the trouble of starting a similar group myself. I see some familiar faces from other teams as well. Looking forward to playing with everyone!

Good game against Unity Group. I've gone through most of their posts and was suprised how well they communicated with each other. I think we do well at discussion in posts but unfortunately our group is pretty small so conversations are relegated to a few individuals and that hurts us in vote games. Kco is trying to bring more people into our team so hopefully we'll eventually have a broader player base for throwing ideas back and forth. Again, good game, even though we just got a draw out of it.

This is to invite your group Chess Team International to a new initiative in Team Vote Chess, the Vote Chess Masters Tournament. We (the Vote Chess League) are gathering 14 of the very best teams in Vote Chess in terms of quality of team work and results, to decide who are the true Masters of Vote Chess! We are very excited about this competition. Would you please put this to your group and let us know if your team will take part so that we can start as soon as possible! This tournament is by invite only, but I would like to draw your attention to the Open Swiss tournament as well: Below you will find the format of the competition. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! In the first round, the tournament is divided into 2 groups of 7. Each team in a group plays one game against the other teams, for 6 games in total. Three games with white and three games with black. The 6 games are played at the same time, but should be started at different days of the week. Playing tempo is 2 days / move. A win is awarded 1 point, a draw 1/2 and a loss 0. In case of a tie, tiebreaker points as in chess.com tournaments decide. The 2 winners of the groups play a 2 game second round, played at the same time, 2 days / move. In case of a tie, the 2 winners are declared joint champions. Players who are a member of more than one team, are strongly encouraged to play all games of the tournament with the same team. What do you think guys ?, the deadline is Thursday 20th.

http://www.chess.com/votechess/view_group_challenge.html?id=1560 2 hours per move? I'd say we decline. We shouldn't keep them waiting too long. First decision to have 5 supporters will be our chosen one.
