We are ready to host uscf online events! I want to do either one or two regular weekly tournaments, and sprinkle in some special events with prizes. What day of the week, time of the day, and time controls do you prefer?
I'm interested to hear your thoughts on whether this would be a worthwhile addition to the Great Lakes Live Chess League. I was thinking of hosting a USCF online tournament each week, but it would be a fruitless effort if nobody is interested. Whatdya think?

Please post your results and game links here. Good luck!
My plan is to create the Great Lakes Live Chess League to start at the beginning of December, 2021. I need help in deciding the league format, so I figured this was a good spot to voice the options, and let you guys decide. Option 1: LoneWolf style league. No teams, just every person for him or herself. Each week we would release pairings and the opponents would discuss a time and play the match, reporting the result here for collation. This would be every week for 12 or so weeks, with a 4 week playoff of some type to decide the winner. Option 2: 5 teams, named after the Great Lakes, with team matches each week. In this format we'd have one team with a bye each week, not necessarily a bad thing, and the other teams would battle it out. We'd go for 24 or 36 weeks in this format, because there would be less games per person per month. The top two teams at the end of the season would battle it out for the championship, the next two teams would battle it out for 3rd place, the 5th place team would sit out the playoff time.Option 3: A very similar team situation as option 2, but in this case we have players create their own teams, cap it at 6 or 8 people per team, one captain. Each week we would have teams battle each other with board 1 facing board 1 and board 8 facing board 8, etc. In this format we'd run for 14 weeks with a four week playoff at the end. If anyone has any experience running swiss tournaments or leagues like this, please chime in. Otherwise, I'm curious to hear all of the members' opinions.
