I found this very intresting: RaivoReiska wrote: Has anyone seriously considered this? I understand that there is some push in the community to have more decisive games. One way we are already doing this is using shorter time controls, leaving more room for mistakes. I believe that removing castling rules from chess would serve this purpose as well, among other things. Openings would of course have to adapt to the new situation. Moving your e&d pawns to occupy the center is more dangrous when your king is stuck in the middle of the board. Yet contol of the center is something you are definitely going to need to be able to defend your uncastled king in the long run. This conflicting pressure would, I believe, encourage early attacks and tactical play leading to sharp positions. The alternative would naturally be to castle manually, but that is going to cost several moves that you may not be able to afford. Removing castling would also simplify the rules of the chess, instead of complicating them more, like chess960, for example. Complexity of the rules is one obstacle preventing chess from attracting new players and a bigger audience. Most of a players skill in traditional chess is easily transferable to the new game, I think. Any good player is already quite cabable of attacking an uncastled king and will surely be able to take advantage of the new situation You can find the link here but please comment on it here, too. What do you think?

Hello, This game is called the 4 - Word Alphabet Game. The way it works is you have to make a 4 - Word sentence or part of a sentence using the next letter of the alphabet. If part of a sentence, the next person must finish it with the next letter. All posts must be 4 words. Ex. Samantha posts first, " An Angry Alligator Ate" and then Joey posts "Blue birds by Billy."And so on. Good luck!

Hello. We all love to chat. Whether it's smilies or just askin' how you're doing, we all love to. However, we can't all be in the chatroom at a certain time, and eventually the posts go away and no one sees them. Sometimes they get cut off or glitches. This is 2014's Isolated Chess's Forum Chatroom. Here you can post anything you want (but no bullying, swearing, or any abuse posts) and anyone who visits the forum will see it. It's like a long distance chatroom, always there, and you can chat even if you and your friend aren't online the same time.

Here are some chess riddles to lighten everyone's mood: How did the king lose his home? A horse took his castle. Why didn't the other pieces come to the king and queen's barbecue? Because there were too many forks and skewers. Why didn't the queen learn how to sew? She was afraid of the pins. Why wouldn't the cowboy play chess? He didn't want to lose his horse. Why did the chess players bring their crayons? In case there was a draw. Why did the chess player offer a draw? Because he wasn't good at painting. How do you know when your pawn is doing a good job? When he gets promoted. Why can't you play chess with balloons? Because you wouldn't want your pieces to be under attack. (A tack.) Why can't you make chess pieces out of bread? Because it would be a stale mate. What did the chess player say to the waiter? Check, please.

What do you do when your best friend becomes best friends with the person she hated before and tells all your secrets and says you can't talk to her because you aren't best friends anymore and makes your original friend she is now best friends with turn her back on you along with your ex - best friend and your other best friend goes to a different school and you only see her here and there, but are just like twins? AND it's your birthday? Look at my other "I felt isolated when..." The ex - best friend is Alix and the original friend is Sara. My first one was when I was in a wheelchair, my leg is healed but I can't run so my ex - friends from this story ran ahead to talk. My only best friend (first mentioned in this story) is Reese.

In every way it's used, it's used in a bad way. So here at Isolated Chess, we make it disappear. Only you can make isolation really disappear in your eyes. Like for example, we have forums saying how we've felt isolated, and we are fixing our problems. Chess gets it off our minds. At Chess.com, we try to all be friends, but not all are friendly; at Isolated Chess, we are all friends. To this day, and forever on, there is isolation. Even when we aren't isolated, others are. Do nice and positive things, and maybe there won't be so much isolation. Class at school is very full of isolation many times. Happy times are when there's no isolation around you. Every day, more people face this problem. So lets help those people. Swim, run, play, and do active things and you may not face isolated problems.
