SCC Chess Club presents: School of Rook part II!
On Wednesday November 1 from 6-8 p.m. we will be looking at the game Taimanov - Geller, featured in David Bronstein's classic book, Zurich International Chess Tournament 1953. This will be a collaborative study session: you are encouraged to examine the game in advance and come to the meeting with your observations, analysis, insights, and questions. (If you don't have time to look over the game, that's okay -- come anyway!) After we've gone over the game as a group, we will have sparring sessions starting from key positions in Taimanov - Geller.
Strong players are encouraged to attend and lend their expertise to the group. However, all chess players are welcome to attend, regardless of playing level or SCC affiliation.

You can also find the game as it appeared in Bronstein's book and pgn at our website: scc-chess.org
We will meet in multiuse room 208 on SCC's main, 8800 O Street campus. The best way to get to the room is through SCC's main doors. As you enter the building, the Great Plains Culinary Institute will be on your left and the new health building will be on your right. Proceed down the hall past Course Ground Coffee and the information kiosk; the room is a ways further down the hall on your right. There will be a sign pointing to the chess club.
