A few pics of The Emporer in life in battle and in stasis in the Golden Throne
Terminators are drawn from each chapters elite first company ,their armour is virtually unbreachable by all but the most powerful weapons A 5 mantaem of terminators combining different weapon configurations from the cyclone missile launcher ,storm bolter and power glove combo, battle claws to assault rifle this small but well armed unit can easily defeat forces outnumbering them by the hundreds and live to tell the tale
Mankind had spread to the stars but over time these communities had lost contact with each other . This led to the Emporer of Mankinds great Crusade to reunite these scattered worlds to one empire ruled from Earth At the forefront of this was the Space Marine Chapters and their Primarchs but chaos corrupted many legions causing a galaxy wide civil war that saw 2.3 trillion battlefield deaths and 4.6 trillion deaths in Exterminatus The Empires final solution for planets too tainted to cleanse of chaos This started the Age Of The Imperium circa 31,000 AD we are still in a constant vigilant watch over chaos since that date 9000 years ago In progress is archives relating to this time and how our foe is now
An ancient race sundered by the war with Slaanesh (more later) split into two opposing factions Eldar and Dark Eldar possessing powerful psykers and astounding technology these are a worthwile foe
The vanguard of humanity in the war torn future of Warhammer 40K ,genetically enhanced they tower over most specialist genetic modifications allow them to fight in battlezones that would kill most in a second due to atmosphere and gas worlds Space marines are formed in chapters and Humanity can boast many chapters but we will look at the main 4 Ultramarines Space Wolves Blood Angels Dark Angels
If all the armies in the galaxy fought all at once in a 3000 point game who would win? Why? I for one think orks would have a great chance because a boy only costs 6 points.
Looks like this will be the first proper tabletop conversion for the PC and tablets: http://www.pockettactics.com/news/ios-news/emperors-panzers-warhammer-40k-armageddon-preview/

Rule 1 All members are valued equally any arguments between team members is to be conducted if it cannot be resolved in the chatroom anyone breaking this rule will be asked to leave Rule 2 If you choose to join a match the one issue that needs to be addressed is timing out communication is key here if a problem is arising ie comp issues let your teammates know so they can help you to avoid this Rule 3 sexism racism in fact any ism that causes discord to team unity is not allowed every one i ask to join are people who know each other here so hopefully this will be avoided Rule 4 very important so i left it until last Chess is fun and it should be reflected in all that we do if you aint having fun speak up any issues can be addressed
Anybody have any opinions on this expasion? Seems to be some excited buzz about it.

As some of you may know, this group was originally home to GameSquad.com's chess club.  Well, with the creation of the offical GameSquad chess group (The Pawns of Gamesquad) over there, we really didn't need this redundant group here. So what to do with it? I couldn't really decide until the inevitable discussion of 40K emerged on Chess.com's Off Topic forum.  With a little back and forth, it was decided that 40K fanatics needed a home of their own!  Hence, Regicide was born, a 40K fanatics chess club!

I was recently reading James Swallow's The Flight of the Eisenstein when I came across as interesting reference to Chess, albiet the 40K variant called Regicide. You can read all about it here.

At long last! Warhammer 40K Film Announced "Here is some news that will surely make more than a few 40K fans weep with joy. The movie news site QuietEarth.com is reporting that a Warhammer 40K movie is in the works! Entitled ULTRAMARINES, this film will be directed by Martyn Pick, with a script written by the primarch himself, Dan Abnett...." What do ya think? Will they get it right?

What 40K books are you reading or have read?  Any recommendations?  CAUTION: Mark any spoilers! I've been reading the first two books of the Horus Heresy series.  The first book, Horus Rising, was okay but not anything particularly notable.  However, I am greatly enjoying book 2: False Gods.  The plot is becoming very interesting (don't spoil it for me, I'm only part way through!)!  SPOILER ALERT:   I have to confess that when Horus fell in battle (last night's chapter), it almost brought a tear to my eye.

After many delays, my review of Chessmaster XI: Grandmaster Edition is finally posted:Chessmaster XINow I know why there are so few reviews of chess software packages! Reviewing one of these items is less like doing a game review and more like reviewing an OS! Anyway, I hope it proves helpful.
