Stories related to paranormal activities and supernatural beings have always been intriguing. But what relation do they have with chess? Well, today I am gonna sure with you some of the most mysterious events and cases in chess history. The Haunting of Hampton Court Palace Hampton Court Palace in England is famous for its historical significance and its connection to various British monarchs, including King Henry VIII. It is said to be haunted, and one of the ghostly occurrences involves chess. Visitors and staff at the palace have reported witnessing the ghostly apparitions of two figures playing chess in the palace's gallery. The story goes that the spirits of two former residents, Sir Thomas More and Bishop Fisher, who were executed during Henry VIII's reign, continue their unfinished game for all eternity. The Anderssen-Harrwitz Haunting Adolf Anderssen, a famous 19th-century chess player, was involved in a ghostly chess story. According to legend, Anderssen played a game of chess against Daniel Harrwitz, a fellow chess master, on the night of Harrwitz's death. Harrwitz allegedly appeared as a ghost and made a move in the game posthumously. This story has been widely circulated in chess literature, but it should be taken as more of a spooky anecdote than a historical account. The Curse of Alekhine's Grave It is said that Alekhine's grave in Lisbon, Portugal, is cursed. For many years, players believed that anyone who visited his grave would not become a World Chess Champion. The alleged curse has been the subject of superstition and intrigue. Thanks for reading, that's it for today. - Top Blogger and Chess.com writer @AstroTheoretical_Physics

I had never seen such a thing. A FIDE Master named @JustChessCrazy got closed for abuse?! 🫢 I wonder what he did. This is extremely rare.
