We all know the origin of blues was in the southern U.S.. The cotton fields, the delta, It was the release for suffering and servitude.
Gospel praised god, the promise of a better afterlife. Blues on the other hand came via the devil. It was the reflection of the here and now.
This is one of the earliest, and still one of the greatest blues classics ever recorded dealing with that universal theme of suffering, the relationship.

The Associated Press reported that the campaign is part of a push to increase blood donations in a country where only 1.7 percent of the people donate blood"

I like to listen to a show called Saturday Night Blues on CBC Radio, link below, but the darn broadcast is live only--no podcast, and I cannot tell you how much that pisses me off because I cannot always listen live and want to catch up while on the bus or something. Then I had an idea--if anyone knows of a good Blues radio-show podcast I can get into, it has to be you guys! Do tell. Even if your favorite show doesn't have a podcast, tell us about it anyway!

I like this SNB show because the host is knowledgable, has great stories to tell, has artists in for interviews, and while the focus is on Canadian content, there's no shortage of American and other artists of other nationalities in the mix.
