I've been trying to push my darryl, but at the 600-700 trophy range it just seems so much harder, does anyone have any tips that helped them get their darryl to rank 25? Thanks

So i was on a losing streak, and i was like Imma buy a 5 mega box 3700 coins and 500 gems offer in the shop with 20$. But the problem was, i already used up my i tunes gift card. So i was like, im just going to be funny and "buy“ it expecting to see the "Sorry you dont have any funds in your account" pop-up message. BUT when I BOUGHT it, it said, YOUR ALL SET, YOUR PURCHASE WAS SUCCESSFUL. and when the mega boxes and gems and coins came to me, I was like OH *$$&$ and yeah, so R.I.P me

So today I got a deal that is: 4 mega boxes = 139 gems. And I literally didn't get any brawlers. The highest tier brawlers I have are epics. ( I have three of them ). And my chances were like 99.5. I'm at about 5.9k trophies. How unlucky was this?
