For those who are still here, the lot of you may have noticed something by now. The Puzzle Patzers (TPP) has vanished. But why? Well, there are a couple of reasons. First and foremost, the purpose by which this club was founded upon has been completely neglected. For months the club has spiraled down extensive droughts of inactivity, and barely any puzzles were created. Furthermore, “The Puzzle Patzers” was supposed to serve as more than just a name. It expressed the very foundation and theme of this club, a reminder of what we were all here for. Unfortunately, that theme was implemented almost a year ago, and during this period my interest of tactics has waned, as I am currently more focused on the positional aspect of this wonderfully complex game. Tactics don’t appeal to me like they previously did and running something not in accordance with my passions is just something that I simply cannot do. There were two prominent ideas or foundations that were set in place when this club was founded, those being “Puzzles” and “Social”. I believe that these two ideas have not been completely fulfilled over the club’s 9 month lifespan, which is why I propose a club reform. Of course, I will be open to ideas from all members of this club, but there are a few things that I want to be present in the reformed club. For all those who are wondering, puzzles, such as the Monthly Puzzle Rush Competition and the Puzzle Hall of Fame, will continue to be present in this club, and it will not completely be removed. It just won’t be the central idea of the club. Instead of a club that is heavily chess themed, I am suggesting a club where members can collectively come together and hang out, in a very relaxed and casual manner. Of course, there are many, many other clubs that revolve around the same theme, such as The Bolts, Banana World, Shining Smiles, and many others. So what makes this club different from the other clubs? Well, this club is unique to others in the sense of discussion. Let me explain. I believe that there are three types of social clubs in the status quo, the first can be called “The Developing”. Developing clubs are clubs that kids of a relatively younger age (primarily elementary to middle school) flock too. Many posts are made, and the club activity rate is astronomically high, yet many of the posts have no meaning or warrant. I believe many of these posts are almost borderline spam. Now I am not criticizing clubs that are in this first category. I think that @BananaPeelEater and @DIMA-48 are amazing club leaders, and well deserve the ownership of their thriving clubs. What I am saying is that the environment there is normally not suited for my liking, as I have grown out of that stage. The second type of social club can be called, “The Administration”. Administrative clubs are active in the sense that there is a consistent member input to the given community. There is just one, small problem. The content is rather bland and to put it simply, boring. Furthermore, there are usually restrictive rules that are put into place which immediately discourages anyone from posting any form of casual, conversational-type content. Again, I would like to acknowledge all the wonderful club leaders that fall into this category for putting in their own time and effort to run these clubs. I am not saying that these clubs are bad. These types of clubs just don’t fulfill my personal taste because of my eccentric personality. The third type of social club is my personal favorite. These can be called, “The Funhouse”. Funhouse clubs generally revolve around a set theme, and then expound upon that theme. A good example would be K2 Lounge, which I would highly recommend joining if you like Mafia Games, or CountryGeoguesser. However, hangout clubs specifically designed to engage and socialize without much restriction are hard to find, which is why I am considering a reform. The ideal form of club I am looking for does not fall into any of these three categories. For one, there will not be highly restrictive rules, but casual, conversational posts will make up the majority. Think of this club as a cross between Banana World (the activity aspect, although with a more mature approach), B1ZHUB (the management aspect, although not as explicit) and The Bolts (the conversational aspect, but more casual). To put it more simply if I must, this potential reform would create a club that is basically the middle/high school version of The Ideas Room. Furthermore, instead of a set theme that most clubs comprise of, this club covers and addresses extremely broad conversational topics of all kinds. The possibilities are endless, which is why I am proposing a reform to this club that includes the following mission: A place where members from all backgrounds can come together in fellowship, without much restriction A place that is less focused on chess, but rather focused on the community A place that promotes wide-range discussion, varying from chess, to sports, to what you ate for breakfast A place where members can feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, opinions, experiences, ideas, and more to an extensive group of people A place to socialize and most importantly, have fun Feel free to leave this club if you must, I know that most, if not all, were here to partake in the club’s original mission, which was to promote puzzles. Some of you may not agree with my ideas, or my mission for this club, which is why I implore you all to let me know your thoughts about this reform, because I am open to all ideas and opinions about this subject. The Puzzle Patzers was an amazing club, but I don’t feel like it has achieved the purpose that it was created for. I want to do what is in the best interest of the club, but I cannot live knowing I am leading something I am no longer passionate about. TLDR: I am proposing a reform to this club. Rather than heavily revolving around puzzles and chess, this reform will begin a new era of a social club, not seriously focused on chess, but instead focused on promoting wide-range discussion for the community to partake in. Ideas regarding this subject can be discussed here.

Here are some of mine: - that guy who always says the daily puzzle is "too ez" - NPCs that say that they should've won a game when they stalemated their opponent - IMs that lurk the forums looking to start a fight with someone - Random "Word Games" forums that are literally just spam and have no purpose - NPCs that post a puzzle with 78 different solutions and the answer to their puzzle isn't one of them - NPCs that make a post to publicly announce that they are quitting chess - Users that randomly call their opponents "*******" or "****" or "******" after losing a completely winning game against them on time - people who use chess.com to play chess - DANNY WRENCH What are yours?

One of the TWO Bullet Championships that I scheduled to happen in April is starting TODAY. The more players we can get, the better. Here is the information regarding the bullet championships: Format: 1|1 - 15 round Swiss for both When: TODAY, Wednesday, April 12, 5:30 PM AND TOMORROW, Thursday, April 13, 5:32PM If you decide to play in the championship, you need to be a member of my club, The Green Ember Fanclub. I am not asking that you permanently are a member, only asking you to temporarily join so that you can play in these fun bullet championships. The top 3 players should get medals, and the 1st place player will receive 20 trophies from me. Thank you! Let's have some fun.

Before I begin I just want to let everyone know that since this is a private club I will be publicly accusing a newly-made account for cheating. Hey everyone, today I will be looking at another user who cheated and analyzing why I think that this user cheated during a 25 bullet game match I played against "him". For sake of clarity I will be referring to the cheater as Carlos Magnuson throughout the article. It was a calm peaceful night, and everything was going swimmingly. I had just finished a load of homework and was planning on chilling for the rest of the night by playing some bullet games. Everything was normal for the first few games. I won some and I lost some. I wasn't really paying attention to who my opponents were or what I was playing, I was just in a relaxed state of mind and trying to get my mind off the pressure of the outside world. Then out of the blue, I was paired with a formidable foe. An opponent unlike no other. I was paired with, Carlos Magnuson. Now this seems like your typical average 600 Elo game. Doesn't really seem suspicious at all, unless you account for my suspiciously bad play. However, you will see in the next few seconds the reason why I played so terribly. You see, Carlos Magnuson began the game by premoving the entire opening, even Qc4. At that point I began to become suspicious and decided to test a theory out. I would intentionally hang a piece and test Carlos Magnuson's reaction time. Sure enough, my theory was correct. My opponent spent a range of 0.1 to 0.4 seconds per move, no more, no less. At this point I was fully aware that it was extremely likely that Carlos Magnuson was using an automated engine of some sort, so I decided to rematch him. Over the course of the next 26 games, I got absolutely demolished, yet somehow managed to win some of the games despite Carlos Magnuson literally premoving every single move. Trust me. Go check any game he played against me, and then look at the timestamps. I guarantee that 99% of the moves will be made in a timeframe of 0.1 to 0.4. During certain moves, I believe the engine malfunctioned for a bit (there was an occasional move he spent 5-8 seconds on), but other than that, whatever program Carlos Magnuson ran was running pretty smoothly during the entirety of the match. Hilariously, as an example to prove his evident cheating, I decided to do extreme blunders and check Carlos Magnuson's reaction time even further. Here is just one of the many examples I executed throughout the match. Carlos Magnuson is so goated, he's probably the brother of the famous HANS NIEMANN and is obviously just too good at chess. He ought to be participating in the world chess championship. Here is one of my favorite games that I played against my opponent, somehow managing to secure a victory over a supposed engine at low depth. Did the engine crash? Did the beads run out of battery? I have no idea. Final Results: The final score ended up being 4-23, my bullet dropping from 2162 to 2096, Carlos Magnuson jumping from 2215 to 2285 (his account was 4 days old during the time of this match) I reported this guy 4 days ago, and could not post this report due to my indefinite mute, and yet chess.com staff has done nothing about it. Either the cheat detection system is extremely poor at detecting apparent cheating, or my opponent just has inhuman reflexes for every single move and possesses the extreme luck at successfully predicting each and every single move that their opponent will do. You decide. TLDR; My opponent cheated. I reported him. Chess.com has done nothing about it.
