I'll post puzzles here. Anyone can post here as well.

This will be a discussion space for the King's Gambit. I will post key ideas, games, and positions with analysis of the King's Gambit. Feel free to post as well with questions or your own analysis/comments. Actual chess content incoming later tonight.

I'm going to just use this forum post to contain all tactical exercises from a variety of sources, aimed at the players under 1500 USCF (and primarily U1200). If you guys have stuff to add, feel free. I'm starting with an example from Blokh's 'Combinative Motifs.' #1 (Blokh 9) A) Solve for White to Play. B) Solve for Black to Play.

Please reply here to state what dates you have free time (and the hour blocks) so we can try to schedule some live training games on chess.com. Ideally the games should be slower than 15|10 so it's not a total time scramble. The longer the games, the more likely they are to help get ready for State.

This is the place where anyone can ask questions related to the opening. Anyone is free to share resources (YT videos, chess.com articles, database stats, etc) or to help other people get their questions answered. I will do my best to respond to opening questions.

This forum post is going to be the place where you guys can put your games for analysis after you play each other here (or any other recent game you want someone to look at). Anyone can help with analysis, but I'll try to look over as many games as I can, given time constraints. If you need help figuring out how to post a game you can PM me, but it's pretty easy. There's a button 'insert chess game or diagram' when you try to post, and once that window pops up there is an option to load pgn. That's where you would paste your pgn.

Hey everyone, This would be a good place for people to coordinate bughouse practice online, for those interested. You can use chess.com's live server to play bug.

Hello, all! I was planning on using this forum space to post links to online resources that I have found helpful in my personal chess study. If you have links to share, feel free to leave them here :) On youtube I highly recommend the following for a start: https://www.youtube.com/user/STLChessClub https://www.youtube.com/user/wwwChesscom https://www.youtube.com/user/Chessexplained And for opening-specific research I recommend the following databases: Chessgames.com Chess.com (under "Learn") Chesstempo.com (under "Chess Database") For free tactics training: Chesstempo.com (you can make an account to track your progress and get harder puzzles, but even if you just do tactics as a guest you get very interesting, albeit steady- difficulty positions to solve). http://chess.emrald.net/ This one is also ok, but the interface is less user-friendly, I have found. And, of course, chess.com, though you get only a limited number of puzzles per day unless you have a paid membership (which I used to have). Still, a good tactics trainer on this site.

The first post for this forum will be, by request, on the Slav Defense. Let me know if you have any questions about the lines given. I can always add more.

Here I will be posting games of interest played between two masters (2200+) that I have studied and analyzed. Studying games of stronger players helps us improve our strategic thinking and gives us a surfeit of tactical tests.

Hello, everyone! Here I will post a plethora of theoretical endgame positions to hopefully apply to your own games. I'll start with King and Pawn ending ideas and then move on to Rook endgames, and other minor pieces/major piece endings. If I think a different source explains an idea better than I could, I will simply link the video or other media here for your use. Besides the important theoretical positions/ ideas everyone should know, I will include some puzzles for you to solve to test your endgame knowledge.
