I know.
Advanced Micro Dog #1

I like that there will be tournaments with different combinations of pieces, I'm glad that this time it is W&H, not W&G. I would like to join this one once there is a #2.

I like the hunter a lot. Here's the move diagram:
It moves as king (but can't capture this way). It captures to the orange dots (but can't move this way).

Yeah. I actually know that already. I was just confused by it saying that it can move 12 squares when making a capture.

Here's an old game I played with the hunter (Tomato vs vick). But this had two hunters each color, and no witch. If I remember correctly, I lost on time but we kept playing for fun. Tomato was better I think, but I was able to avoid checkmate by perpetually moving. I think it was a draw, but Tomoto got tired so he purposely lost.

Btw, I like Martin's idea for a tournament with other pieces (and better players).
Wondering if any new theory will be discovered. The hunter jumps, so the witch won't help it. But the witch didn't help the guard either (the guard only moves one square). But I think a hunter is slightly stronger than the guard. (But still less than a rook)
This should be a fun tournament to watch!😀😀😀

If I count correctly 15 rated games have been played with hunter. 7 of those games was played by @rychessmaster1

And since the hunter is slow-moving it develops slowly. But once it captures it pounces! It's in play and everything changes!!!😃😲😃

The hunter is certainly a better attacking piece than the guard, but it's probably a weaker defensive piece.

I'm playing poker. I will start our game either later today, or perhaps tomorrow. If you want to make the thread and play your first move, that's fine by me.
haoming, you can't join anyway, it's full.
