all alignment can bring a rich plethora of roleplaying opportunities to the table if done correctly! im pretty neutral myself, (according to every alignment test ive ever taken TN is where i fall) so exploring decision making based on alturistic considerations can be a challenge while selfserving actions come pretty natural, so getting into another alignments mindset is facinating. my personal favorite is ... wait for it... LG! i love paladins! theres many ways to be annoying to your group while maintaining that holier than tho attitude! from a Mr.rogers type sugary sweet good to the drill-seargant dont step out of line or ill kill you type and everything inbetween! though id say the majority of toons i play have been NG/TN over the years im always up for a roleplaying challenge
Best D&D Alignments

Nice article. I love playing CN but you don't have to be stupid with it. People tend to forget that intelligence and wisdom come to bear in decision making just as much as alignment or even maybe more so. No half decent player is going to do something stupid because 'I'm chaotic neutral' when their intelligence or wisdom are reasonably high scores. I like the line - 'Normally the alignment of the insane'.

I nearly always play a CG of CN character because 1. in a good party a CE character is frowned upon 2. I hate being the guy who says "No, we should not steal that" 3. I like to be the guy who says "We should steal that" 4. I am not entirely sure that I am sane in real life anyway 4. I am (C)NG in real life, so they are easy to play
The only alignment I have never tried (as a player) is LN, it just doesn't appeal to me
This is funny 'cause it's true - especially the part about "Chaotic Good" (srsly, give it a rest)
