Messages and rendering copied html code

So, if anyone sends you a message with copied content, it gets badly rendered with long string of numeric characters (upright) stretching across multiple messages.

Probably has something to do with html tags which also get copied, and of course html tags should be disabled otherwise it becomes security risk.

I'll try later to upload screenshots, as I had to delete problematic messages to be able to read properly rest of my inbox.

Hey! Do not copy me!!!

This is something really necessary, i sometimes cant read the message because of those long strips of code running down the page

Oh, great! Thanks a lot for the screenshot. We are planning to redesign the whole comments system so that is probably better than doing small fixes for this. Also, you can always copy and paste without formatting

Both facebook and viber (probably more) support copying screenshot from clipboard directly.
Think about adding such feature, if possible, it could be very nice to have it.

As for quick fix for this problem with messages, deleting initial message with html content will restore view to normal.

You can always just do a special "text only" paste. On Mac, it's Option+Command+Shift+V. Not sure on Windows.

Ctrl Shift V

"paste as plain text"

But... i feel its a bit necessary

Avatar of e4_guy

I can but people who send me messages dont know how....

Avatar of erik

Well, intelligently cleaning up code on paste is extremely hard :/

this happened to me too, but i dont mind it too much

Quoting those messages brings them in front, we can use that

Problem still present, every time someone sends PM with copied html content, whole conversation gets messed up by these random characters going vertically.
