Micro Dog #1 Game 2 (musketeerchess2017 - Bad_Dobby_Fischer)
We have correspondence bulldog chess rules, and my clock does not go on. Why would I use this to get more time when I have three days?
"Either player has a right to request a board once per move (2 plies). If a board has not been posted which is at most 1-ply from the current position, and a player requests to see a board, time waiting for the board does not count as playing time."
Dobby is correct, he can wait for a board. Not everyone uses analysis boards, some people rely on the boards the mod posts.
As this is Martin's mod, it's on him to post a board. If he doesn't have time, I can take this game off his hands. pm me if you want me to take over modding duties, Martin.
I understand your frustration musketeer, but as the rules currently are, it's reasonable for players to wait for a board. People don't tend to use the "extra" time for analysis, you might notice that dobby moved quickly after the last time he requested a board. I appreciate that it has the potential to be abused, but that isn't happening here.
Martin either needs to post boards, or let me take over. I know he's busy modding and tracking other games so I'm more than happy to. Please don't blame dobby though, it's not his fault.
I can in some time. How do you copy the board to here?
Follow musketeer's instructions for analysis tools. As for posting a board on the forum, once you have a PGN file, come here to create a post, click the "image" icon in the options over the text field, it's next to the smiley on the left. You can then browse your computer to find the file. Once it has uploaded, click "insert" and the image should now paste into your text field and you can add text as you please before you submit the post.
I think Martin is having issues with notifications, I would've expected him to have checked in by now. I've sent him a pm. For now I'll give you another board...

I'm not having trouble with my notifications. I was just busy with ratings and pairings in the giga dog tournament yesterday that I didn't get time to check what was said here.
You can go on and keep modding @captaintugwash, thanks for the help.

This is a bulldog chess with witch and guard game between @musketeerchess2017 (White) and @Bad_Dobby_Fischer (Black).
This game is in round 1 in the Micro Dog #1 Tournament.
This game will follow the correspondence rules posted here.
Time Control: 3 days/move
Timeout Warnings: 24 hours to make a move after a warning. Maximum 3 warnings. Refreshes every 40th move
Vacation Time: 14 days. Refreshes every 40th move.
Rated: This is a rated game.
Setup: See image below
Note that the position of Black's king and queen are switched compared to classical chess.
Pieces:
Guard (G) - Moves and captures like a king.
Witch (W) - The rules for the witch can be found here.
Castling:
The rules of castling are similar as in classical chess. However, with the board 10 squares wide, the king travels three squares rather than two. The rook finishes adjacent to the king. All squares between the king and rook must be unoccupied, with the exception of transparent pieces (see witch rules).
Promotion: Pawns can promote to guard and witch in addition to queen, rook, bishop or knight.
Other rules of this game are identical with rules of classical chess.
Good luck!
