That is a major nerf on the harpy (I think that it's range isn't enormous though I could be wrong). People who have got harpys will lose out majorly.

I think the harpy is overpowered as it is now (I mean it's worth 16 points about as much as a dragon), it needs a nerf being able to get slow-moving pieces past massive distances.
But I think I will increase the time you have to drop the piece- How about you get 4 moves to drop? In those 4 moves you may maneuver your harpy to get a better angle to toss the piece at because the harpy will carry the piece underneath it. If after 4 moves and the piece is still underneath the harpy it will be crushed for 50% it's point-worth in health.

Ooh, sounds good! This means players have to put harpies further into danger to toss pieces to good squares, but having no cooldown(disabled piece) time makes it more effective to balance it back out! I like it!

We don't need to nerf harpies that way...

*Nerf By Me*

Probable changes-
- Harpies can only drop pieces by *tossing* them within their own movement range. Tossed pieces are not disabled a move. Harpies have up to 4 moves to toss the piece they've captured before it'll be crushed and converted into 50% health.
- Up unicorn price from 6 to 7 (her 3+1 range is something no other piece has).
- Spirits/Harpies will no longer be able to capture pawns so as to bring back the original method of promoting- marching your pawn up square by square. If harpies capture a pawn it will be instantly converted into +0.5 health.
- Delete events Chinese Checkers, Eagles, Heritage, also Bloodthirst. Help brainstorm new ideas for possible replacements!

HER?!
Possible Replacements:
pumped up kicks- if something undefended can be captured, it must be captured.

for "pumped up kicks" I don't think so, too similar to bloodthirst and I'm wanting to delete that event.
"Drawing the line" prioritizes the center of the board, and I want (0,0) to be worth just as much as any other spot on the infinite board.

Rule 1: put up the board in some news
Rule 2: add a lumberjack but only pieces from 3 spaces may be bumped
Rule 3: make pieces possible to be recycled for 25% of their original health any time the player wants
Rule 4: kill naviary

Hello! This is the new thread where we can discuss any decisions and rule changes regarding the game. I want the original thread to be more disclosed rather than in the public Chess960 and other Variants section (people could be confused entirely by the thread). The point any rule changes are made they will be announced on the main thread.
