I also don't like the new update of profile
Why? We should tell the developer what we want instead of just saying that they are bad.
I feel like this new profile thing is a bit better as it shows your progress as soon as you click the profile but the views and followers thing is gone which was a good feature to keep the community more active.

I also like that feature. It's mostly the fact that they have removed so many features. If they don't have space for followers, points, profile view and what not, they should put them on the side bar where there USED TO BE stats like how many games, puzzles, and lessons you have completed.
Or maybe the profile could be really simple as to have only few things. Notes, bio, and other essentials and have a button to view further stats.
We want the old profile
That's not going to happen.
There are already some planned changes based on the existing feedback, but the old design isn't being reinstated.
The reason I started the movement is that nothing changed for the better. Notes, stats, and game history are either inaccessible or take forever to load. 👎🏼👎🏼
Game History is a tab right in the profile and a panel on the main page where you can click the header (which is exactly the same as the old profile).

THE OLD PROFILES WERE GOATED
everything was so simple and easy back then
why does chess.com moderation do not listen to the people here?
there are over 160 people who have signed a petition to restore the old profile in this link: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/petion-to-bring-back-the-old-update?page=1
Moderators don't do development, design, or make decisions about the site. Staff do that and while they take feedback, they have a vision and plan for the site and will use the feedback to guide them. They won't always do everything suggested.

I understand why chess.com is changing it's profiles. They want to make the site look more modern. That is why they changed the user interface a while back. However, the overall agreement among people who are unsatified with profiles is the removal of features. If the features that have been removed from the profiles were integrated with the new profiles I think that everyone would be happy.
I hate to go back to this....and it is just a guess on my part, but if a much larger percentage of users actually paid for memberships, people 'might' hold more sway in how things get done. Maybe, maybe not, but that's generally how the world works.
Not always of course...heck, I report spammers left and right - especially people (kids?) who feel the need to collect their 'achievements' and do so by posting something like a "." to multiple article/news/forum discussions. It makes anyone following a thread get a notification that someone has "commented" on what you are following so several times a day you may check the notification to find only a '.'
It's ridiculous....but the site seems to prefer to give kids this silly 'achievement' over everyones sanity and probably just so they can show higher 'involvement' metrics in their portfolio.
It affects everyone who enjoys discussing various topics - paying members or not. So, while I would like to think they listen to people with 'skin in the game' more than others... I know some things are just more important to the company and just have to live with it...or go elsewhere. While I do at times play on other sites, this is my preference largely due to the better graphics and huge pool of players and certain features So, I still get what matters most to me.
Here is hoping it is still the same for you.
It looks like a lot of people are unsatisfied with the current chess.com profiles and have joined the #SaveOurProfiles movement. This is a place to discuss issues regarding the profiles.
