It seems natural that only the writer of a news item should have editing access to it before it is published, because if others are given access (regardless of their status in the club) it could cause havoc if different people are trying to edit it at the same time. I may be wrong but I don't think this site implements shared access files and all the tricky locking that is needed with them. Not for the ordinary members like us, in any case.
If you want to work in the way you describe, being able to edit other people's work, perhaps you need to work on another platform which allows it before finally transferring the finished version to this site. Googling "shared access files" brings up possibilities.
hmm. i feel on the fence if an SA/Creator should have access to unpublished news written by someone else.
An idea would be to have your news in a private club (usually HQ club for example) so multiple people with Admin or higher status there can work on it before it is released.
Just make sure to communicate so to avoid two people editing it at the same time, as it could cause data loss.
Yeah, if you want multiple people to be able to edit it, use your HQ club. And if you don't have an HQ club, you really ought to.

Actually, it’s only me editing. It’s more that I want to view the news (to see whether it’s okay) before it gets published to all members.

Publishing the news on another club is actually a good idea, and it’ll solve my problem. But I’d prefer if the sa of a club (or creator) could at the very least view (not edit) unpublished news.
I'm the SA of one club, and me and some of the admins decided to start blogging on the chess club. The only problem I'm facing is that I'm not able to edit or get access to the admins unpublished blogs (I've told them I'd make a few edits). The only way I can edit the news is when the news is already published and accessible to all the other members. So far I'm only able to view the blog title (when going ->news
->unpublished news), but if I click their unpublished news, I go to another page telling me I do not have access to do so (even though I am both the SA and creator of the club). Anyone can help?
