The Slow LIVE Chess Association (SLCA) is one of the very first clubs on ChessDOTcom to seriously organize slow LIVE tourneys using a large increment.

We are sending you this club invite because we think that our activities may suit your chess habits well.

We play different types of tourneys. Some feature games at Negotiated Time, where the players need to agree on a mutually suitable day / time to start the game. A Protocol of Discussion must be complied with. Whereas others are Fix Time events. Keep reading!

Our tournaments are typically 1, 3 or 5 rounds at time control 45m+45s. We use a QUIZ to rapidly make our new members familiar enough with The Rules of the SLCA to participate in our events.  Join in and see the description of our tournaments on the front page of the Club! Then decide if you stay with the croud or leave. happy

Note that our events are open to players rated 500 and up.

We often play Negotiated Games here. This implies that the paired players need to agree about when to play.

For this purpose, one of the first things you should do as a new member is to post your preliminary / typical availabilities here. Show us everything! Then I will transfer your data there.

The idea is to help your future opponents offering you with decent, compatible time slots to start a slow LIVE game. Let's be efficient!

Moreover, if you are a new member and / or a non-qualified member, you need to take a QUIZ in order to participate in those Negotiated Game Events. This is because there are several subtleties that you need to get acquainted with.
